Yesterday, the girls and their daddy went to the zoo, and Tum Tum and I had a quiet afternoon. He napped in the crook of my arm while we snuggled under my favorite, faded, raspberry-colored wool blanket. I watched Miss Austen Regrets and I even got some work done on a new WIP. The wool is my old standby - Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride - in “Lemon Drop” (although the shade is deeper than its name suggests – the top photo is pretty true to color).
So, what is it? Just a quick, simple garment for the baby. Can you guess? I hope to have pictures of him wearing the FO in a few days.
Overalls? 🙂 You do beautiful work. Somehow I keep coming across blogs of women who knit and crochet and sew all kinds of wonderful items. I think I need to find someone to teach me how to knit. Anyway, I’m rambling and this is your blog, sorry. I look forward to seeing your LO in the WIP.
I watched Miss Austen Regrets a few weeks ago for the first time. I kept wanting a “happy” ending. It was a good movie, though. It sounds like you had a cozy afternoon.
I like yellow, I’ve told dh that that’s the colour I want our kitchen painted in (when he eventually gets around to it *sigh*)
I look forward to seeing the finished article.
